Boko Haram insurgents have reportedly killed 26 people and injured several others in a raid they carried out in Madagali, Adamawa State.
The residents said that the gunmen came in motorcycles and attacked Kudakaya village in Madagali local government area at 7:00 pm on Monday.
One of the residents said that he saw many corpses at the scene of the attack while several others who critically injured were rushed to the hospitals by sympathizers and aid workers
In his account, former chairman of Madagali local government area, Mr. Abawu Maina Ularamu, said that the attackers burnt several shops and houses as well as looted foodstuffs.
The state police command image maker, Othman Abubakar, who confirmed the attack, said that he could not establish the causality figure from the insurgents’ invasion.
