Italy warns of growing terrorist risk from Libya.

Italy’s right-wing interior minister Matteo Salvini has warned that escalating violence in Libya has increased the risk of terrorists making their way to Italian ports on migrant boats.

Matteo said that, following the Libyan renegade general Khalifa Haftar’s assault on the capital, Tripoli, Italian ports would remain closed. It would be recalled that Libya has been hit by instability since Muammar Gaddafi was overthrown and killed in 2011.
